A cartoon, old movies and a carnival

Daniel Ray

Thanks to Mary over at the blog Simply Forties for including my post, “Pat Bagley piratically skewers the credit carrrrrd industry,” in the blog carnival she hosted today.

It’s the “Carnival of Money Stories No. 66 — Old Movie Edition,” and it leads off with a photo of Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn dragging The African Queen, the boat after which the 1951 classic movie was named.

What a coincidence! I’ve actually been in that boat, which, somewhat worse for wear, is parked in a canal behind a Key Largo, Fla., hotel I used to frequent on snorkeling trips.

So head on over to the carnival and wax nostalgic while you read some excellent personal finance tips, gathered from around the blogosphere.
