Clothesline debate makes PF carnival

Connie Prater

A blog I wrote last week about the pros and cons of hanging laundry out to dry rather than using electric or gas powered dryers made the Carnival of Personal Finance’s weekly roundup of blog posts about money.

The blog was featured in the frugality section compiled by this week’s host, The Centsible Life. Each week, a different blogger hosts the carnival, which features the best of the blogsphere in personal finance topics.

Who knew?
When I wrote about laundry, I had no idea it was such a hot-button topic, but people are squaring off on both sides of the issue. The pros: saving energy and saving money. The cons: neighborhood eyesores and bad weather. Some are trying to get the Obamas to hang a clothesline at the White House as a show of solidarity with the green movement and energy conservation. But even that is controversial. Stay tuned. There may be a follow-up.
